More Than Housing—A Kingdom Partnership
The Awaken School of Ministry is more than a classroom—it’s a training ground for calling. Students are immersed in the lifestyle of ministry, community, and Kingdom leadership.
As a host home, you provide more than a place to stay—you open your life to a student and partner with God in shaping the next generation of leaders.
Host a Student: Awaken School of Ministry
Why Become a Host Home?
By hosting, you:

What’s Expected of Host Homes:
Hosting is simple but deeply meaningful. We ask that you:
Provide a private space: A furnished bedroom with a bed, dresser/closet, and access to a bathroom.
Welcome them as family: Include them in meals when possible and share normal family rhythms.
Offer spiritual encouragement: Pray for and with your student; be a listening ear and support system.
Respect their commitments: Students have full schedules with classes, church life, and outreach.
What Students Provide:
Their own transportation.
Personal expenses (groceries, toiletries, etc.).
A spirit of service—helping with basic chores and blessing the household.

FAQs
How long is the commitment?
The School of Ministry runs from mid-sept 2025 through mid-June 2026. Hosting usually lasts the length of the program, but short-term hosting may be possible.
Do I need to provide meals?
Not required. Students cover their own groceries, but many host families enjoy sharing dinners together when possible.
What about transportation?
Students arrange their own transportation. Hosts are not required to provide rides, though some families choose to help occasionally.
What if issues come up?
The Awaken leadership team is here to support both hosts and students. If challenges arise, we’ll work with you to find a solution.
Can I host more than one student?
Yes! If you have the space and feel led, hosting multiple students is possible.
Do I need to be home all the time?
Not at all. Many hosts have full schedules. The most important thing is offering a welcoming environment whenever you’re home.
Will students be background checked?
Yes. All students go through an application and vetting process to ensure a safe and healthy fit for our host families.
